Today's photo was taken from the balcony outside of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center overlooking the pools in HemisFair Park that surround the base of the Tower of the Americas. I first saw a photo similar to this in the San Antonio Flickr Club that was posted by "Cobaltski" (
original photo here). I did not want any of the Alamodome in the shot that I took so I just rotated slightly to my right to ensure it would not appear in my photo. This is another shot that I really wish I would have been lucky enough to take without any people (there are three men on the bench and a small group walking down the ramp) but I also think when everything starts to turn green again it will make an even better photo opportunity.
Overlooking Pools in HemisFair Park

OHH NEAT!! I want to see more of it!! Is there a walk-way across the water?? It kind of looks like a maze!
ReplyDeleteThere are paths through some of it, but the pool in the foreground you have to go on one side or the other. I was actually thinking about trying to put together a pano of here at some point but I need to scout out a good vantage point.
ReplyDeleteI've posted some other pictures from here that I took early on in my "career", they are at the front of my smugmug gallery (Photos 9, 22, and 23). It's definitely somewhere that looks MUCH more impressive when the foliage starts to turn green.
